Matt Murtagh

This rocker was born in the stone. Matt AKA “Merciless Mattéo” has been conquering the music scene for many years, playing in several bands throughout South-East QLD since the early 2000’s. Throughout his journey he’s had the privilege of playing alongside some amazing and seasoned musicians, given great opportunities early in his career playing shows supporting the likes of Spiderbait, The Radiators and other classic Aussie rockers.

After shifting roles a few years ago from guitar to bass, Matt is now a key part of the driving force that is the NRT rhythm section. With his heavy influence, he gives this tight unit a dynamic, solid structure with some serious groove and drive. Apart from just music, Matt also has 15+ years experience working in live productions, specialising in live sound and lighting as well as studio engineering.  By delivering professional, high-standard production and sound mixes at every show, Matt is equipped with tools and experience to make sure No Right Turn pack your venue – and leave your punters wanting to come back for more.
